If this time of year feels loud, you’re not imagining it.
Everywhere you look there are new health tools, programs, devices, supplements, and promises all connected to Wi-Fi and competing for your attention. Holiday sales turn into New Year resolutions, and suddenly wellness starts to feel like something you’re supposed to purchase, hack, or optimize.
It’s easy to feel like you have fallen behind before you’ve even begun.
We want to help you recognize something clearly and thoughtfully. You already have what you need to be successful. There isn’t a toy, app, or easy button that can do the work of listening to your body, understanding your patterns, or building habits that last. Tools can be helpful, but they are not the starting point. That’s why we approach wellness differently. Most of us are introduced to wellness backwards. We’re told what to do first. Eat this. Move more. Meditate. Sleep better. Sometimes we’re even told how to do it, through plans, programs, and protocols.

What’s often missing is the why.
We’ve learned that when people don’t understand the purpose behind change, even the best plans feel heavy. When the why is unclear, motivation fades, and effort starts to feel like pressure instead of progress. That realization is at the heart of why Storm & Harmony exists.
Why we created Storm & Harmony
Between the two of us, Kara and I have spent over fifty years working in behavioral health, sitting across from people who were doing their very best with the tools they had and still feeling stuck.
We heard a lot of the same themes. Anxiety that proves daily to feel overwhelming. Low mood that lingered longer than expected partnered with self judgement for why those individuals “can’t just feel better.”
What stood out over time was how often important pieces were missing from the conversation. Not in a dramatic way, but in everyday sedentary lifestyles. Long hours of sitting. Food that didn’t truly support energy or mood. Bodies and nervous systems under constant strain with very little room to recover.
Not because people weren’t trying. Not because they didn’t care. But because these things were rarely looked at together. Storm & Harmony was created to gently widen the lens. We believe mental and emotional health don’t live only in our thoughts. They’re influenced by how we move, how we eat, how we rest, and how supported we feel along the way.
Our purpose is simple. Help people feel better by working with the whole person, not just one piece at a time. With curiosity, compassion, and a little more ease than most wellness conversations allow.
How we help you succeed
Storm & Harmony is built on partnership, both in how we work together and how we work with you.
Kara and I lead Storm & Harmony as a team, bringing complementary perspectives that allow us to see the whole person, not just isolated goals. I work as a Certified Primal Health Coach, focusing on behavior change, mindset, movement, and sustainable habits. Kara is a Functional Nutrition Alliance Certified Nutrition Counselor, bringing deep insight into nutrition, and how the body responds to stress, food, and environment.
Together, we bridge the space between knowing and doing. We don’t believe change happens through willpower alone. We focus on creating safety, clarity, and individualized momentum. That means meeting you where you are, understanding what your nervous system and body are communicating, and building from there.
Our process honors the connection between mind, movement, and metabolic health. We look for small, meaningful shifts that compound over time, rather than drastic changes that burn out quickly. Coaching is not about prescriptions. It’s a collaborative process rooted in listening, reflection, and adaptation together.
